The illustrations by Jim Kay brings the whole story to life and and you just linger over each page more and it makes you feel more part of the plot. Not every page is illustrated but those that do have one are so detailed. It is one of the best books I have ever bought and I am now going to get the other ones in the series that have been illustrated so far. I can find nothing negative about this book at all.
