Very cheap lightweight material

bought this to use in a photography studio as a background. Its a great size and very cheap. Not sure what the material is though. It says it's Muslin cotton but i'm not sure about that, it has a very plastic feel to it and looks like a thicker version of the stuff you put in the garden to suppress weeds. Quite tough with a bit of stretch, it arrived folded up and has a lot of creases in it. If you're after a large piece of black material you probably won't find anything cheaper. Read full review

Not suitable for backdrop

This product was very creased where it was folded for packing. As this appears to contain mainly man made fabric the creases are really difficult to remove without burning the fabric. A combination of steaming and ironing partly removes the crease lines. This takes a long time as a fear or burning through the fabric even at low temperature is a concern .I had expected to simply iron a cotton based material which would have been quite straight forward. This is not really a suitable material for a photographic backdrop.Read full review

Not cotton muslin material

These sheets are very large and good value , however , they are not cotton muslin it is cheap synthetic material. I cut a corner off and when I put a match to it , it just melted.

Excellent for painting backdrops

Excellent value for money and great for use as a backdrop (I painted on it with emulsion paint and it has survived a lot of manhandling. It feels very much like weed suppressant mesh. Does the job!

misleading product title

This is listed as a black muslin cotton photography background.. IT ISN'T.. It's a non-woven synthetic fabric.. The small print does describe it as such... and for what it is..it's fine. However very frustrating that the title simply does not describe what it is.. in fact describes in detail exactly what it is not.

Love the product, perfect for what I needed to black out a room for a Halloween party! Only negative is the postage charge. If it was free postage or a bit cheaper as an overall price I would have definitely bought more! Definitely can’t fault the product though, very thick and doesn’t seem likely to rip.
