A decent lens of any sort is never really cheap. This is a well made product at a good price. Most people will prefer binoculars but this is half the size and does not have some of the issues binoculars can have coming out of alignment. Simpler to use than binoculars this is a good choice if you don't mind using 1 eye with the reduced field of view and want less weight and size.
Construction is good enough to survive a few knocks and cheap enough that you can replace it if it gets damaged, lost etc.
In comparison with much more expensive glass you don't notice much of a difference unless you can compare them side by side.
Functional rather than an object of desire.
Remove 1 star if you are the sort of person who must have the best and can afford it. It does have some level of aberrations if you look for them and it is sharper in the centre than at the edge. Read full review
