Good budget choice from Hawke

Where I am in the UK there are not that many, reasonable priced, scope makes available. I also own the Hawke Airmax in the same magnification range. The Airmax is the more expensive and in my opinion a better scope. The Airmax has a more sophisticated reticle and is a bit shorter in length. However the price difference I paid was significant. The turret adjustments also differ in favour of the Airmax. Otherwise they are quite similar in appearance. They both work well and I have no problems with either so far. They both come with covers for the lenses. Once set-up the most noticeable difference is the reticule. The Airmax looks like etched glass with the Vantage MIL Dot it's not so obvious to tell. Compared to another popular make with the initials "NS" the Hawke's look better finished for little more money. When you get to this low price point paying a bit more can get a better product where at the very high end it may not. The Airmax is a better scope in my opinion but the Vantage is good enough. It comes down to cost and the Vantage is very well priced. When shooting at short ranges, (less than 100 yards) the AO becomes essential. If you don't need the AO there is a wider range to choose from. The magnification is suitable for hunting and some target shooting. Add a Laser for rangefinding in combination with either of the multi aim reticules. Small targets beyond 25 yards my be a problem depending on your eye sight. The 2-7x32 Vantage adds little weight and looks good on a rifle. I have not tested the scope on heavy recoiling fire arms. Certainly one to consider. Read full review...

Excellent quality, features and an amazing price.

Excellent quality and features for an amazing price ! I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I own other Hawke products so I'm positive it will work fine. The 2-7 x 32 AO PX was just what I was looking for at a price I could afford. Hawke's warranty takes the worry out should anything go wrong but with Hawke I don't expect to ever have to use their warranty.Read full review...

Air rifle scope

Great price, great product. Already have one on my BSA Ultra. Find it easy to adjust and use. Bit bulky and heavy on my already heavy Weinrach but having the same scope on both seemed good idea

Does everything a $100 optic should.

Don't expect high dollar glass, and you'll be fine with this model. My main reason for purchase is the Mil-dot reticle, which is uncommon in rimfire optics. The glass is clear enough, better than some similarly priced Simmons and BSA optics I've used. Eye relief gets critical at full magnification, as expected, but you can still find a good spot without too much trouble. Build quality is nice, sharp clicks from the turrets under the caps. The lens covers included are hokey, as they should be in this price range. The Mil dots themselves are nice and small, didn't obscure a 1/2" bull at 100yds. Markings on the AO are accurate enough that setting them to measured distance generated a clear picture, although I haven't yet tested parallax reduction yet. I will say though, if you're target shooting, you should look for more magnification. For hunting, I think the 7x would be fine out to the limits of the 22LR.Read full review...

Good solid QC, reliable value

When you're enjoying shooting you need to complete the experience with your favoured ammo, locations, prey, colleagues, gun preference, weather, wildlife....and a lot more qualititeis that define it all for you. You also need some levels of consistency so that you can maintain your skills, certainty, and accuracy. That's where your choice of optic comes in. I chose Hawke purely on cost-effectiveness, build quality, glass engraving, and ease of use. I recognise all the graphics, fonts, and numbers, and it saves me any weird guesswork. Just my own preferences. There are plenty of alternatives out there, but I choose Hawke despite the Chinese branding. I'm paying medium pricepoint for consistency. Read full review...

Hawke Vantage 2-7x32AO scope

I fitted this 2-7x32 ao Hawke scope onto a BSA underlever Spring air rifle. The sight clarity is excellent plus plus having the adjustable objective really helps for target accuracy. If you are looking for a more compact with adjustable magnification and parallax and good quality and value. I can definitely recommend checking this 2-7 Hawke scope out. Read full review...
