An excellent toy for learning

This would probably be ideal for nine year olds but as a 23 year old young man who knows nothing about motors I bought this to get a better grasp of this world. And a better grasp is what I got.

Excellent and educationally fun

Great product in helping my 9yr old son to understand how a engine works . Some bits are a little fiddly but over all he had great fun building it . Took just over a hr to build with myself picking out the pieces . All parts 99% clearly numbered. Do read the instructions before pulling any parts off the plastic packaging as the crank shaft was a little confusing. These have to go a certain way and we made the mistake of just pulling them out the wrapper. Great value for money and I would happily buy again as another gift . Read full review...

It's a pretty fun model. The instructions aren't the best but they aren't hard to follow if you add a pinch of common sense.
The one thing that has annoyed me is that one of the piston heads is loose but that can be solved with super glue.

If you're someone that doesn't have access to a car that wants to learn more about an engine and you learn best with your hands then I would recommend this. An engine will still seem very abstract to you as the best way to learn is to put in some wrench time with a real engine but it can teach you some very basic things in a fun way.Read full review...

The timing on the model is off but it can be corrected by advancing the cam shaft and rearranging the spark plugs. There are guides on the net telling you how to do it through cutting and gluing but it really isn't necessary. And its a joy to watch it run.Read full review...
