Now to fix my car

it is a well laid out book as is all the Haynes Manuels, unlike the workshops Manuels that are wordy and laid out in minute steps. This Manuel is in order of work sequence, and much easer to put on the shelf than the full workshop Manuels. When a job is covered like; remove and replace glove box, it is not repeated a second time for removing the HVAC fan motor but referenced to in those instructions by page etc. So in all most of the work is covered for the mechanic so as not to be experimenting with how to do a task. I have used and have on my shelves many Manuels now form the years I have been working or cars bikes etc. I will buy again when needed. Read full review...

Maybe it's me

But I remember the Haynes manuals being easy to follow and read. I have found that the pictures are few and very small, also crammed on to pages with numbers and letters. Confusing which pics go with which instructions. Like I say maybe it's just me, but I am struggling to find the info I need and the pictures aren't great, maybe if Haynes want to keep the costs down but quality up, they should release a DVD/USB with lots of pics and the ability to zoom in.Read full review...

Disappointed

Look at any older Haynes manual, with colour pictures, dog eared pages and greasy finger marks. This was a paper back copy with very flimsy pages, black & white pictures which would not stand up to practical use very well at all.
Come on Haynes, get your act together any produce quality publications like you used to. I'd certainly pay more for a manual that would last longer.

Satisfied customer

As expected. Had similar over many years and found it a good extension to owner's handbook.

Volvo XC60 Haynes manual

If you have no access to the internet (you tube) this book may work for you. I would say that including the XC 90 to me is just padding the book out - I am only interested in the XC 60! It taught me very little - you tube is far more informative.Read full review...

Brilliant books.

Haynes manuals for repairing cars DIY is an absolute must, I could not recommend these motor mechanics manuals enough. If you intend to repair or service your car yourself, you really must have the Haynes manual for your model of car..... Michael.p.pRead full review...

Not how they used to be

Haynes manual used to be hardback tomes printed on nice paper but now they are paperbacks with barely toilet paper pages. Very dumbed down and not as comprehensive as earlier manuals. Many simple but important operations are not covered making excursions to YouTube essential.Read full review...

Workshop bible

Every time I change my car I would also get a Haynes manual to maintain it.
As essential as a toolkit.
