Michael Slade is my favorite author & Headhunter is my favorite Michael Slade book. What I like about his books is the graphic details that put you in the heart of where the horror takes place. He also ties in a historical period to each novel and I have a learned a lot of interesting world history that you don't learn about in school like cannibalism in the South Pacific islands, the Boer wars, the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police & Scottish clan society centuries ago. Really interesting and well researched topics. Great characters in the RCMP Special X Division his books center on and psycho killers you really don't want to cross paths with. His books are compelling and hard to put down.Read full review
