Great not too heavy military flick!
Clint has always been a great actor...the movies were not always instant classics, but he is always top notch. This one is no exception. A true to stereotype leatherneck, jarhead Gunnery Sgt. Tom Highway is put in charge of the less than disciplined, and unmotivated, less than Marine acting Recon Platoon. After initial conflict, and establishing just who is in charge, he quickly turns them into the top platoon on base, and gains their respect. With a pain in the butt Major Malcolm Powers running the base who would love nothing more than to put the old man in his place, this much less than heavy Marine movie has something for everyone....Some good laughs, a tough as nails old battle horse, a secondary love story (not too involved), and some gunfire, and explosions, combat, and it all comes full circle in the end.Read full review
