Very good at picking up pet hair embedded in carpet. Much better than the longer head versions. This is probably due to the power from the drive belt being transmitted to a smaller area. Like other versions, the roller brushes need to be periodically cleaned by pulling off the hair wrapped around the roller. Buyers should be aware that this unit is good for a couple of years (depending on amount of usage), as the drive belt will eventually stretch causing loss of power to the roller and brushes.
