Compact and sturdy with good durability.
It's a good stand. From experience in the classroom though, the "cup" where it supports the bell of a bass clarinet or boot from the bassoon tends to wear out fast and tear, hence why I was hesitant to get one. There are other bassoon stands out like the Bocal Majority travel stand or the stage line brand, but they tend to be way more expensive, at least for what I will use it for. This stand however become the standard at the moment. In the end, it's like anything. If you take care of it, It will last a long time. I like it and recommend it. Read full review

Hercules Bass Clarinet Stand
As a tripod, it is quite sturdy. But, from a practical playing perspective, one must rest the peg in the cradle on on one of the legs and rest the upper end of the instrument in the yoke on the vertical. Per se, the stand does not grip the clarinet. Years ago, Hercules made a bass clarinet stand which sandwiched the instrument between parts of the stand; this old stand indeed "held" the instrument.
.
In addition, the top collar cannot be tightened enough to stay in place. The vertical slides down eventually!Read full review

Hercules bassoon/bass clarinet stand
Wish I had order this long ago. It keeps my bassoon safely at the ready. I can also use it for my bass clarinet, Which is a bonus I hadn’t expected.👏👏👏

Good sturdy stand
Excellent stand for keeping the instrument safe. Not the best for travel, though. I bought this for home use and it is perfect, but I use a different stand for travel.

Worth the money
I was hoping to find a stand I could leave the instrument in to play, but they don't seem to make one any longer. This stand is sturdy. A bit on the heavy side. I feel confident that my clarinet is safe when it's on the stand. The location of the sockets to put additional pegs are so far removed from where the player would sit that it makes them mostly unusable. For the money, a very nice value.Read full review

Great, strong, sturdy stand!!
Great stand for a bassoon! It holds up well, is easily adjustable, and is very heavy duty.
Only downside is it isn’t the most mobile. But neither is a bassoon. It’s a large instrument, so it’s expected the stand it uses would be large too.
All and all though, great stand. Highly recommend.Read full review

Not very portable
This thing is huge and is just to big to take with you for rehearsals or performances. Perhaps it's because it is made as a multi instrument stand. I only use it at home.

The only thing that would improve this stand is if there were a cutout for the peg in the bottom rest.

I was looking for a stand that is tall enough for my EEb Contrabass Clarinet. This is great!
