18 In Professional Regulation Size Bristle Dart Board High Quality 10 Lb review.

Hello Readers,

I am reviewing the 18 In Professional Regulation Size Bristle Dart Board High Quality 10 Lb. As always I like to start with the bad. I do have to preface this a bit as I failed to properly do my research before purchasing this product. I was under the inaccurate belief that this was a regulation Boar-hairs board; however. I did not fail to do my research before this review, and this is what I learned:

This Quote was taken from the website dartboards.com

"Every so often, a darts customer will ask if we stock “REAL” dartboards, the ones made of Pig Bristle. ( Or Camel-Hair Dartboards. Or Horse-Hair Dartboards.)

The common answer in the darting industry is: “Sorry, all of the Red & Green Horses & Camels have gone extinct, so we must now use sisal fiber.”
Humor aside, the fact is: there have NEVER been any such animal fiber boards.
Bristle dartboards were developed by the Nodor company in the 1930’s, using sisal fiber. The original concept was to make dartboards from bundles of readily available sisal rope. After some experimentation, the idea evolved into the modern bristle dartboard. The word “Bristle” simply refers to the stiff natural sisal fiber, the same material still used to make cheap scrub brushes, twine, and rope".

So first bad news, I too seemed to have fallen for the red and green hair folly. With this new information, the only thing bad was that the handle above the board which can be used to hand it was backward making it difficult to remain flush against the wall, and remain at proper height.

The good. The board is sturdy, heavy, and well crafted. It will take a beating and for many years to come. The colors are bright, the triple and double spaces are proper sized and spaced, and the cork makes that ever so lovely "pop" when drilled.

I highly recommend this Dart Board for all of the above reasons, plus, it was very affordable.

With Sincerity;

Cheaply made!

It is not as described. I definitely wouldn’t call it professional quality. The wire grid is not lined properly with the colors. It doesn’t seem to be bristle as I’ve only used it a handful of times and the color is already coming off. It’s cheaply made.Read full review

Dartboard review.

Not a bad board but the description was a little misleading. The board does not heal, every dart I've thrown at it is still present.

The board is slightly under 18".

The good is the board is quieter than my old one.Read full review

Poor Quality

False advertising. The item is described as a high quality professional bristle dart board. The board I got is not bristle and of the worst quality I've ever seen
