Great Red Dot Sight for the price.

I was looking for a sight that performed well, without a $400+ dollar price tag, and the Holosun HS403A met my expectations. Having the battery sandwiched between the sight and the base makes for a sleek looking optic and if the battery lasts for years, I don't see having to remove the riser to replace it as a big issue. The auto on feature works perfectly. The dot isn't perfectly round but still very small and sharp. The range of dot intensity is great for use in the dimmest to brightest conditions.
One minor complaint is that there is a orange streak visible when light strikes the optic from behind you, but hasn't hindered my ability to pick up the dot in my field of vision.Read full review

Much Higher Quality Than I Expected...

Being much more than simply 'familiar' with the so-called "High End" sporting optics, I was reluctant to spend the money for such an inexpensive red-dot. I did it anyway, and I'm glad that I did. This has turned out to be another example of the fact that there are lots of quality optics available from companies which don't carry the "big names," nor the heavy price tags that go along with them.

Out of the box and on my rifle, the 403A has many features that have surprised and impressed me. The quality of the optics is superb, the adjustable red dot is crystal clear, even in bright sunlight. The warranty is also a bonus, and I just completed registration for my sight on the Holosun web sight.

Excellent Red Dot

Purchased this for a pinned 14.7 upper. I wanted to keep the whole setup as light as possible. I had an MBUS on it but needed a dot sight. I tried this one and it is great. I have had it to the range twice now with a combined round count of about 750 rounds. It hasn't budged and is right on the money. I like that it has some very dim settings so that I can actually see it in low light conditions like at an indoor range, despite my astigmatism. I love it. You can't wrong with this.Read full review
