Quick replacement for a V4043H
This was used to replace a worn gearbox on the unit for the second time. 10 years & it broke again. The motor never fails - it's always the poor mechanism alongside. Simple fix of 'constant' hot water for competent DIY'r
Finding the c/h boiler constantly running, feeding the hot water cylinder, even with the controller showing all zones and hot water off, was puzzling. Until a quick tap on the diverter valve power head and the valve then closed and system shut down - problem identified - faulty head.
Rather than call our friendly but busy, local plumber in, a quick search and a replacement head was found. It helped that Honeywell put the replacement head part number on the old head.
New head ordered and delivered within a couple of days. Installation was straight forward with the help of the fully detailed instructions. Fired up the system and watched the new head open and close the valve. Previous Honeywell head lasted 15 years so just hoping this one lasts as long.Read full review
