When yours dies, it's a must to have that second one available to pop into the Linx to continue your vacuuming job while you put your expired one on the charger. This was a great deal. Sorry battery life! At $60.00 a wack, it is very painful to the wallet.

My hoover linx vacuum is only 13 months old. The battery that came with it would not vacuum my 1200 sq. ft. home so I purchased a second battery. That was fine for about 6 months until the original battery died, wouldn't last two minutes. So I purchased a third battery. That was fine until the first battery I purchased died also leaving me with just one again. So had to purchase a forth battery in order to vacuum the whole house. Since the third battery is 5 months old, I expect it to died soon also. If it wasn't that the vacuum is a good machine, I would have trashed it 6 months ago but it is light weight and does a great job.

I am hoping some one will come out with a battery that will last more than 10 charges.Read full review

Happy with this purchase. Don’t recommend buying a used ion battery

So far so good. I’m always afraid I’ll get burned by purchasing ion batteries not from Hoover site for this stick vac. I did get a bad used one from a different company but they sent a working one as my older one finally pooped out. I still have that battery but always like to have two. I’m on my third charge and use for this new one and it lasted just as long as the new one that came with the vacuum (about 15-20 minutes with the beater on. Based on this purchase, I recommend. I don’t recommend buying used. It’s worth paying a little extra for new. Good purchase.Read full review

Works fine but is quite expensive.

The Linx cordless vacuum (stick) is a fine product, but the lithium ion battery must be replaced occasionally. The Hoover battery is a quality product but too expensive.

Great replacement battery

This battery was bought to replace the original in my hand held sweeper. I think it works better than the original--it holds the charge for a long time and I am able to use it for about 25-30 minutes before charging. also it charges up a lot faster. I am very happy with this item.

Expensive replacement worth shopping for

This battery pack is a dedicated Hoover product with a relatively firm price on the secondary market. Shopping for used or re-sale new items is worth the trouble as bargains do eventually show up.
The OEM product charges in about 2 hours and last about 30 minutes at high use levels. Power remains consistent throughout the usable period.
The estimated number of re-charges possible is 600.

No problems! Love it!

Can't imagine not having a LiNX vacuum. Our house is average size (no McMansion) and with a lot of Dachshund children running around it needs frequent touch-up cleaning. The LiNX is a life-saver. We have two older rechargeable batteries and now a brand new one that comes out of the gate like a champ. All three are in use. I do recommend running the batteries down, removing the batteries from the unit, recharging them, removing them from the charger promptly, and unplugging the charger. It works for me!
