Not the dearest and maybe not the very best...but close

I must admit that I was slightly sceptical about purchasing a cheap upright vac and I didn't expect too much from it but I was pleasantly surprised. This little machine amazed me by the amount of dust it sucked up from what I thought was a fairly clean carpet. There was something reassuring about "Hoovering" with an actual "Hoover" just like my Mum used to.

At the price I can recommend this little machine to anyone. We have plenty of power points in our house so a comparatively short mains lead is not a problem.

Poor design, fragile, lead too short, no use on a piled carpet

Fine for low pile carpets, impossible to push/pull on anything with a longer pile than 1/4 inch.

Switch/upright lock constantly fails, leading to handle falling over.

Vortex pet hoover

Good hoover for all round usage. Only problem is there is no height adjustment. The suction is amazing but can be tricky to manoeuvre.
