Great for removing light staining

The Schott Robax dry wiper is a quick, easy and effective way of removing the light smoke stains from the glass front of wood burning fires.

The wiper will also remove the thicker, dark brown stains that can appear when logs are not fully seasoned or the air supply is restricted. However, it requires considerably more finger pressure and effort; the soft sponge backing doesn't help when trying to clean in the corners.

Previous examples have lasted about a couple of years.

Makes light work

I have a multi-fuel stove and use this glass cleaner to remove stubborn build up on the glass doors. Best results achieved if you let the glass cool down for 10 minutes before attempting spraying/cleaning. I open the doors right back to aid cooling down and go and have my cereal. Breakfast eaten, easy peasy, just spray and clean!!Read full review...

Excellent product and good value

It's a very useful cleaner for stove/woodburner glass. I use this 2 out of 3 days to clean the glass when it's cool. On the third day I use newspaper wet and dipped in wood ash to clean the glass properly. To use this dry wipe product all the time would require very hard rubbing and it might wear out too quickly.

Be careful when using this dry wipe product when close to the edge of the glass as the clamps can be sharp and will tear the wiping surface, reducing its life.

I find this a life saver when I have no newspaper

This stove glass cleaner is the same as the one that came with my wood burner, I tried pkts of three which are slightly cheaper and found only a small difference. Mostly I use newspaper scrunched up and dipped in the ash at the bottom of the burner.Read full review...

Effective

This product works well enough on tarred and sooted stove doors, whether hot or cold. It does not cope with heavily tarred doors however. The best method is to use a damp cloth and ashes from the stove.Read full review...

Efficient but wear out quick

This cleaner is very efficient to get rid of the blackness burnt in your stove glass door, but they have a very limited life, need to replace them frequently.

Every Woodburner needs a friend like this !!

My husband uses this for our woodburner. Every morning I hear a sigh of relief that the glass is clean. And I am VERY happy to sit by the fire and watch the flames keeping me warm ! Just bought two more for my son and daughter. : = ))Read full review...
