How to drive, a compelling read indeed!

Surprisingly comprehensive. So much I did not know: the Stig has a mother and father! Some people said he emerged suited and with helmet from the plasma of a lightning strike to Coniston Water.

Reading this is entertaining, for sure, but will not make you a great driver. Having the humility to accept there is always more to learn will get you close. Close to accepting other drivers may better or worse, slower or faster and more patient or really be on their way to a birth or death. It will not make you capable of a cheery wave as thanks, an apology or a you first.

This book shows that a lifetime of work at the wheel of so many different vehicles has made Ben one of the most accomplished drivers out there. Even so, he still acknowledges the skill others have: a smooth driving chauffeur, police interceptors recording their every move on pursuit and risk averse stunt co-coordinators.

As the man in a white helmet, the establishment doubtless ridicule his views on speed and the causes of accidents, but I'l wager they cannot drive as safely or as fast and live to write a book about it. A book so clearly describing how do so carefully.
