Bought it for a fun gift but the foreward and introduction are seriously informative

I bought this as a little extra for my friend's 70th birthday as we are going to Liverpool for a few days in September. I haven't read it in full but just skimming through the Millennium Reprint Foreward and then the 1966 edition introduction are really interesting in terms of social history and the language changes. Actually, I think it might be wasted on my friend - perhaps I'll keep it for myself - or buy another one!Read full review...
