Really poor autorell meachanism/quality control?

Brand new warranty replacement and after only 2 uses the auto-reel function has started to 'stick' leaving a length of hose lying on the ground - the mechanism is rubbish so shall be returning this and buying a Gardena instead.Read full review...

Usual hozelock quality as you would expect.

Purchased to replace a hozelock hose I've had over 25 years and has just started bubbling. (Bit disappointed it only lasted that long really!!!!!)
I decided to treat myself to this model to ease the act of winding and unwinding. The quality feels great and is simple to use. Saves a lot of effort.
Easy to mount but in all honesty when I drilled the correct size holes and used the plugs supplied the screws which were supplied weren't very good. The wouldnt tighten into bracket sufficiently to hold the mounting bracket on the wall. And I am a very competent diyer! Although I've been wrong before! I removed the screws supplied and replaced with my own and it mounted perfectly.
Other than that it's excellent.
I sincerely hope that it lasts haf as long as my previous hozelock hose!Read full review...

Not as robust as the old model

This new autoreel is flimsier than my old one it replaces. The external plastic disc on the front is flimsy and pops off easily, and the short tap hose is supposed to be wound behind this disc for storage but is tends to unwind and look intiuntidy. The old model had a much better system. The wall attachment bracket is also flimsier tan the old model. But the reel works ok and the 5 year warranty is good.Read full review...

Top quality hise

When fixed onto the wall which only takes 15mins the hose is very easy to use, It pulls out easily and returns even more easily with no effort as it does it for you. I have got the 30m hose which is made of top quality materials as you would expect from Hoselock .very pleased. Read full review...
