Flexible 2-channel reorder
Bought this to go with a second TV as I have been very pleased with the one bought earlier. It is easy to use, and offers a wide range of functions to record and play back programs. It enables recording of a program series, and very conveniently stores all the episodes in a file so that they there is no need to search a long list.
One can stop a program in the middle of playback, and on re-selection it offers 'resume play' or 'play from start'. It always attempts to stop the inadvertent deletion of a program - for example, it won't allow deletion of a program if it has not yet been watched!
Another very useful facility is the program search function - enter a keyword and it will search the program guide for all instances of that program for weeks ahead, and the 'info' button allows one to check whether to record each of the ones it finds, or not.
Suffice to say, I would not be without this clever piece of tech.

Well Worth The Money.
An excellent basic DTR from Humax purchased to replace a somewhat poorly and temperamental TVONICS DV3 DTR which has been a long serving and until recently faultless performer. The TVONICS DTR is many many many years old and if the Humax HDR-1800T lasts anywhere near as long I will be a very happy bunny. My only real note against it is that the tv guide is a very basic one and would be much improved if it had an additional 7-day easy access guide rather than its current format of guide. However for the money combined with the reputation of Humax and its products, I'm more than happy with my purchase.Read full review

I find it easy to operate, picture and sound very good and copying in SD mode very quick.
Very good value for money with a 2year Warranty.
Would have given it 5 stars if had programme part cutting for ads etc, but for the money I can't complain.

Humax fan
Had the FVP400T already, lasted 8 years and died last week. this has better handset and faster control of pause , rewind etc. Would prefer a different labelled 'F' button as that is the multi choice menu, F is not an obvious label, at least for me! Great for recording Freeview TV & Radio
Having updated my Virgin Tivo to a TV360 and found it doesn't record radio programs, it's great that the Humax does.
Everything else about it OK except for iplayer access limited to BBC - have to use Smart TV to get the rest.Read full review
