Garbage Varnish!!

Worst Varnish I have ever used, I have tried using it in many conditions and it always frosts up badly.I contacted Humbrol who were useless and suggested it was down to temperatures where I spayed, I replicated their recommended temp and it still frosted up. This is a huge pity as their Humbrol Clear Gloss is my goto varnish, I love the stuff. But this Matt version is utter garbage- avoid or else risk frosting up your models paintwork.Read full review...

Not happy

I started using this product many years ago but have not used fore about 4 years after 3 mist coats I could se no difference so I added 10 ml of flat back it has now had 7 coats and is finally flat . I normally use 3 coats to achieve this result .Read full review...

Humbrol matt clear review

I found this product very difficult to use. After I used it I had to strip my model back to plastic and repaint.
I used it undiluted with a brush to finish and this varnish left a white powder all over the model. I have never encountered this effect with any other varnish including Humbrol clear and satin varnishes.

Good quality varnish, I have always used with an airbrush sprayed onto acrylic paint, usually over the top of the gloss varnish I applied deacls to. Never had any frosting issues.
