Hycote is great automotive paint

Painted my bonnet, roof, tailgate, side skirts and door mirrors. I’ve used many brands of paint but hycote is the best for great colour and coverage. Also one of the easiest spray paints to work with.

At least 2 coats required.

I get through a lot of matt black paint so can claim some experience. The use I have is just to make a one coat covering in a short a time as possible. Its just a colouring nothing more.
This paint though is nothing like any of the other brands used. Its very thin, to much in one pass and it just washes the off. No black drips, it just becomes clear with thinners.

I will say that if you are not as impatent as me and apply 2 thin coats its looks ok and produces a nice matt finish.Read full review

painting frames } if you use this with the fillers , primers and sealers , the way they should be used ,this stuff can offer up some really good results for rattle can , but if you set out to buy just one tin and expect it to do the job of all the range , then you wont be happy with this .

When I first used it , meaning first coat I thought it hadn’t covered but after the second coat it looked really good , and after third coat the finished looked like a professional finish , so to sum up really great product, but needs at least two coats but three and you get a brilliant finish. Really quick dry
