It works
Knowing that power outages are unavoidable and wanting to keep my tank from crashing during one is top priority. I recently purchased a AI Nero 3 pump but couldn’t find a compatible aquarium backup battery, and didn’t want to buy a high priced computer backup that isn’t made for what I need it for. Once I saw the Icecap Version 3 and doing some research I was 99% sure it would work and it does. Haven’t had a power outage yet, but I’ve unplugged it and it still ran my pump. Read full review...

This is a great back up unit, however, it will NOT work with any Tunze DC powered products. Note the box reads "compatible with most 24 volt pumps" On-line forums are full of questions about this so there is a lot of confusion. The Ice-Cap gyre, Red Sea Wave (gyre) and Maxspect gyre pumps WILL work.Read full review...
