Although not the same cooling as air conditioning which would be far more expensive, this air cooler is very efficient in a standard size room and very good in the motorhome for which it was bought. although a little bit noisy, not a lot, at low speed it has 3 speeds, a timer and other useful modes as well. I have already recommended it to caravan and motorhome owners but it is suitable for individual rooms as well. It's just a fan!!!

It's just a fan, don't be deceived by the 'air cooler' bit, that parts DIY!!!
The heavy water tank is at floor level and at the rear, if you want it to cool you have to turn it around and add ice or an ice pack to water, it wont cool for you and needs repeating.
And like a lot of folk ... I can't get down that low, especially with heavy water, turning it around to get to the back is hard enough
And no I don't have anyone I can ask when required!!!
PLEASE REMOVE 'AIR COOLER' in the name, it's very DECEPTIVE, or do I mean DECEITFUL.

No good for motorhome

Noisy but it's good.

It's a good product but there is a lot of noise and vibration, it's economical to run evaporative humidifiers won't leave white dust like ultrasonic ones do and they also serve as fans for the summer, i need a bit of background noise to stay sane but if you want something silent there might be better options.Read full review

Evaporative Coolers

This type of “cooler” is often promoted as “new technology” or “air conditioning”. It is neither. The principle is that energy is consumed as water is evaporated by air drawn through a wick, thereby cooling the air. This unit is too small to have much effect. At a larger scale ( I had a window unit in New Mexico 50 years ago) if the air has low humidity ( the NM desert is hot and dry) the air entering from outside drops a couple of degrees of heat but raises the humidity which tends to nullify the result. Don’t waste your money

The air blowing out is so weak, there is no effect against a 34degree day, even when I place it directly in front of me beside the lap top and using ice cold water to fill the reservoir. I ended up buying another standard fan to replace this “air conditioner”, the fan is comparably much cooler. Don’t waste your money on this unit.Read full review

Couch potatoes air conditioning

While the footballs on this is sat on my coffee table by the sofa. You need to with meter of it to get the full benefit. (Arm length to beer) At night I can sleep thru it too. Its cost about the same as a light bulb to run. For £15 you cant really go wrong.
