Old unit kept binding and stopping. Turns out the rubber drain protector was rotting, chipping away, getting caught in the grinder, and ceasing. While cranking it underneath with the allen wrench, I noticed water dripping very slowly. The entire case(!) was rotting also. Unit was ~33 years in place, so guess I'm happy. New unit was an easy remove and replace. NOTE, DO NOT knock out drain plug unless using auto dishwasher with new unit. Read full review
