Engaging at first & near the end

Engaging in the first part when the child is born and experiences mostly joy. The middle section when Joy & Sorrow are lost tempted me to fast forward because of how long it takes them to get back to the child's life. Interesting as say these words.Read full review

This reminded me of something written by a psychology major - the ones I knew in college and the ones I've met since appear to only have studied psychology to figure out what their own problems are. They all think that every problem can be solved by sitting around holding hands & singing "Kumbayah". Great ideal, doesn't work in the real world. Boring movie, not cute or funny like I expected. Had to pry my eyes open with toothpicks to stay awake. It smacks of a "Liberal Agenda" movie. Can't help but wonder if it was promoted by the Obama's. Cute movie. I hadn’t seen it before, and I bought it for our 2 year old. I watched it before her to make sure it was appropriate. Although it’s a cute movie, it’s not really for a child so young. HOW DELIGHTFUL! I really got all involved in the emotion characters and how they might even play out in MY life! This movie is adorable! It really appealed to me as an adult. The characters are very engaging and I couldn't find a single thing that I thought might be too adult for younger viewers, which is difficult to find in children's movies these days. This movie has no good and evil, no good guy or bad guy, no hitting, no weapons. It is about a team trying to work together and understand one another. It is about a person working through emotions deep within oneself. For me, as an adult, there are some deep meanings expressed, and for my 5 year old child it is fun and entertaining for my child to watch. Even my husband, who is non enthusiastic about animation liked this movie and has found the critics to be right, that this movie is an emotional, mental, philosophical animation. I love the movie but not the DVD I received. This is the second time I ordered this DVD and both copies had numerous pauses or skips. I'm suspect these are knock-offs and were not produced by Disney. I don't think I'll trust any new movies offered at a low price.Read full review

Meaningful Movie for all ages!

This is a great movie for all ages because we all have feelings that make up the fabric of who we are. Pixar did a great job of allowing children to see what happens when are feelings are out of order and the consequences of when they are out of control.
