Don't have time to cook?

Ok, strange title for a review but straight to the point. I was fortunate enough to have winning bid on eBay for this great pressure cooker. I have made beef stew, aboro rice and butternut squash, white rice, oatmeal and can't wait to cook chile and other dishes. Lots of recipes on you tube. Pressure Luck Cooking is awesome. Buy one and save time. Don't be afraid to try it. Just make sure you follow all of the precautions while using.Read full review

How not to buy from eBay

How can I like it when I don't yet have it. I think that I purchased a pig in a poke from a scammer. He does not answer my emails. Nothing indicated that it was actually mailed. I don't know if I will ever get it. Every time I check the listing the delivery date moves forward.Read full review

Having fun but wish the cookbook that came with it was for this specific machine.

Having difficulty finding recipes to correspond with all the specialty buttons. Ex. the book that came with it suggested that Basmati rice be rinsed, soaked for 15 minutes and cooked on low pressure for 4 minutes. I tried that, awful. Then I rinsed the rice and put in the pot and pressed the rice button, perfect. Why create the buttons and then instruct us not to use them? Will continue to experiment. Have had several successes and a few failures, but am just getting started. Am sure I will love the pot as I learn to use it.

Have discovered what I consider a flaw in design. The stainless skirt surrounding the pot is thin and unfortunately is not lined with a stronger material. The pot dents very easily on the right side of the front control panel. Care must be taken in shipping and in storing your pot.

Overall I think this will be a frequently used appliance. Internet searches have shown some wonderful recipes that I am ready to try.Read full review

I am enjoying learning how to use the instant pot.

There are only two people in my family so I thought the 6 quart would be plenty big. I so wish I had gotten the larger size. Better too large than too small. Wish I could brown meat in it easily. Rack seems a bit flimsy. It is extremely quick and easy to use once you figure it out. Glad I paid the extra money to get the pot with the lid holder as that is so handy and useful.Read full review

Used it once, life changing

Rice is a staple in my diet and when I moved out I stopped making my own and buying the microwave bags. These are pricey at over a dollar a piece but I don't have time to cook rice the old fashioned way. With this little thing, I can throw everything in and walk away knowing it'll come out great.
