8 threads. 4 cores. What more could you need for your 1155 socket. You cannot get any better. Oc to 4.5 easily - up the voltage and get 4.9 maybe 5.

Brand new one of these, you should be able to overclock to 4.7ghz, I’ve only managed to overclock this to 4.1ghz but considering it’s like 8 years old, that’s fairly good, so I’m happy

Good product, expensive.

Latest and fastest processor for LGA 1155. Comparsion with Intel Celeron G1620 is hard. 3770K product too much heat, need big cooler. I used G1620 with PASSIVE COOLER, no fan at temperatures 40-50C overtacted. With G1620 computer run smoother. With 3770K is faster, but dint run smooth, microfreezes. 3770K is unlocked, can be overtacted to 4.5GHz, but you need have luck, to temperature core balanced processor. Frequency overtacting isnt posibble, max 6 Mhz=6%. I have not good, second core have +10 degrees more then other. Best alternative will be unlocked celeron procesor for office use. But it dont exists. So you can use Intel i5 unlocked, less money, less heat, same single core power.Read full review...

Got it to 4ghz, stock voltage literally outta the box, would recommend gettin a decent water cooler to bang the CPU up to a higher frequency, good price performance.

My fears calmed!

I very well know this is a top class processor and one of the top in it's class. My fear on receipt was that it has seen the light of day judging from it's state which wasn't too pleasant. But Banged it into the motherboard and powered on and hey presto worked straight out of the box and temperature below 30 degress. Initial temperature was actually 23 degrees but rose to 29/30 where it stayed for the duration of my time in ''BIOS'' Also note that CPU temperatures are normally higher, sometimes too high when in Bios so I would imagine the temperature of the CPU is between 23 and 26 degrees in operating system. Great CPU and Motherboard for Overclocking

I bought these bundle to make a pc for a friend and they work perfectly. I had delided the cpu and added liquid metal thermal paste underneath, then i changed the cooler with a water cooler and now i got a stable overclock of 4.6Ghz at 77 degrees C on full load. Great CPU all round!

I have two of these CPUs. One is one eBay at the minute. I've overclocked the one I kept hold of to 4.5Ghz and it works brilliantly. Stays fairly cool and is 100% stable under load. I've thought about pushing it to 4.7Ghz but for the extra temps I think I'll keep it at 4.5Ghz 😀Read full review...
