Give some bonus life to the old man (laptop)!!
I install it in an old laptop Toshiba Satelitte U200 as an upgrade. To disassemply the laptop is a liitle bit difficult , but with instructions that i found in the web, i managed to do it, in less than an hour. Now the old lap top became 64bit from 32bit that it was before and runs a lot faster , about 20-30% more. The BIOS also needs to be updated to support the newer cpu.
Very Happy with this , special in the price that i bought it .Read full review...

What an upgrade!
I bought this improved processor for my aging Toshiba satellite U200 after seeing it on the users forum page for U200's. It is really good and was straightforward to do. In fact I ordered two of them, so I could also upgrade my son's computer as well. Fitting required a complete strip down (videos available off internet) and then replace it carefully after unscrewing clamp screw and prising VERY gently. It all went together well and the computer is so much faster. Took the opportunity to clean out the cooling fan and radiator as well as replace paste (supplied) on heat sink. Now I have a cooler, faster computer that will keep me happy for many more years.Read full review...

good buy for retro build
but this for a little 2006 mac mini lunix project and no complaints so far. with lubuntu (a lightweight linux distro) a can even get 1080p video from youtube with this and 3gb of ram. packaging was good and came with thermal paste.
no complaints so long as you know what you are buying.Read full review...

Good upgrade for some old laptops, IF...
...you can easily get into them. For example, Toshiba A100s are easy, but A120s are a nightmare. this one went into a Samsung NP-R40+, relatively easy.
All you need for mini upgrade
A cheap way to give an old laptop a small speed boost.

Very good processor for that price.
Core 2 Duo T7200 is a processor which has 4Mb cache memory and is really strong comparing to price. Speed is not too high, so I'm giving 4 stars.
Its a good processor, with dual cores

I recommend it!
Processor working great in my laptop, faster than old CPU (was T5500). :-) I recommend it, if you replace an old CPU to faster.
