It has transformed my interest in PCs, now searching for components that I can pair with this very capable processor to upgrade my current system. This CPU is fast and capable of running AAA games, with a suitable graphics card. Good CPU

Should have bought a cooler with it as the hopeless brittle plastic clips on the old one broke. Once new cooler arrived everything went smoothly.
So if you upgrade a LGA1150 socket cpu either buy some clips or a new cooler in preparation for the exchange.Read full review

What can I say about this Devils Canyon processor that has not been said by other more eloquent tech users?

Nothing really, but if you happen to have an LGA-1150 Z97 motherboard and you DON'T own this processor, or it's I5 counterpart, the 4690K, then you have made some poor life choices my friend.

I mean look... It's just a beast! It scores over 2500 on the single thread CPUMark benchmark at stock! Sure it runs a little warm, and its not the most efficient CPU out their in terms of TDP, and when overclocked it's toastier than Hades' underpants and sucks more power than the average grill, but it's performance that matters! PERFORMANCE! So slap this baby in there with a good cooler and a fair GPU and see those frames fly!

Great little plucky CPU that proves that the old boys can still mix it up with the young whipper-snappers, and can sometimes even drag them outside, give them a good kicking and go home with their girl.
