Quick review

Speed - Both a pro and a con, depending on your use. This is good for just general computing - emails, web browsing, light applications. Slow for anything else. I'm using it as a dummy (remote desktop) terminal so it's good for me.

Pros:
form factor - you can plug in directly to a HDMI port, if you have the clearance. Otherwise, you can use the small extension cable.
Quiet - no fan
Low power

Cons:
32gb storage will be a problem at some point. Some Windows OS cant update because it fills the disk.
Limited USB ports

Lightweight plugin computer stick

I was expecting full Windows 10 computer - this is a stick computer. Still have issues about some apps not running, like Groove. I'm frustrated enough to do full reset again. As expected, not computing powerhouse, but surprisingly runs most casual programs and apps. I use this on my kitchen tv, which I leave on when I'm home. I can quickly check email, news, weather, etc. Very handy, low power, and reliable compared to booting up my desktop or laptop. Makes my tv alot smarter than appletv, amazontv, or webtv.Read full review

Decent Mini PC

For no more hardware built in to this mini PC, it works quite well. I use this to run my living room television as a media center. It's hooked up to a 5TB external hard drive for movies, music, and some streaming.

I have had a couple odd bugs while using this. The first one was when it didn't have any sound. The speaker icon down by the clock had a red "x" over it. Clicking on it, it was trying to fix a device driver error. It didn't correct itself. Restarting the PC fixed the problem and haven't had that issue yet.

The second issue only happened one time as well. For some reason, the one time it couldn't find my external hard drive. It was left for a few minutes, then later the hard drive was connected. Not sure what caused it, maybe just a slow boot or the external didn't power up right away? I think both issues had something to do with Windows and not the hardware.

I had the first gen version of this stick. The one that had one USB port and about 70% of the power. This one is much easier to set up being it has two USB ports. You shouldn't even need them for setup if you follow the Bluetooth keyboard setup when you first power this PC up. It connected to the Bluetooth keyboard right away without having to connect USB keyboard or mouse. Much smoother setup than the older version of the Compute Stick.

If this device has any downfalls, it would be the Bluetooth connection and Windows 10. The Bluetooth keyboard lags from only about 15 feet away. Granted its behind my entertainment speaker, but at the very top. I have a table top entertainment center to set the television on top. So bad that I started using my USB wireless keyboard/mouse combo. The other downfall is Windows itself. I fully expect running Linux on this PC will double its speed and stability.

I do recommend this if you know much about computers. Even for beginners this isn't bad to set up and manage. What I do like about this is you get a full operating system. So I can run VLC, Spotify, and other apps I like for a media center.

Intel Compute Stick

This item is an excellent option for those who are wanting the full computer experience without the bulky equipment sitting around. About the size of a snickers bar, this item is portable and very easily hidden behind a tv or monitor, cleaning up space on your desk or in your home.Read full review

Very good product, think through your application.

The product works very well. I connected to a Roku Sharp TV and worked very well. What I did not anticipate was not having and sound output to the TV.
