35W SRO3F for G2 Sockets - A Good Find for Referishment Projects.

This is my second purchase of the 35W SR03F chip for G2 Sockets. This upgrade doubled performance over factor two i3 chips that where originally bundling with comparable socket G2 Sockets. It is also within a wide range of capable 35W G2 Sockets CPUs with the same instruction set. Well worth checking out for your future duel core upgrades.

A few tools, time, patients, a good repair manual, and some thermal paste can go a long way.

Very well, if you have too noisy 4 core CPU!

I have installed this 2 core CPU, to my Sony VPCF21Z1E by removing 4 core one. It was too noisy. Now I have near silent notebook. My battery lasts much longer. It is not always upgrade fine, but sometimes downgrade too!Read full review

Great product

I have an older Dell E5420 running W10 and replaced an i3 with this i7 and also went from 2g to 8g of memory, both very affordable ($40 each). This turned a slug of a computer into something I'm very happy with. Everything from booting up to opening apps to surfing is really quick. The only thing left is to get an SSD. At that point it will become a poor mans surface (without the touch screen). Got these good ideas from my brother who did the same thing with one of his, and it screams.Read full review

Good price, good shape

CPU was in good shape and the price was very fair. I stalled the part and the computer fired right up. They also happen to be located near me so they were able to allow me a local pickup (not sure if this is usual or not)

Definitely will check out their items again.

Upgraded from i3-2330M to this i7-2620M. Great performance boost!

Benchmarked, and it performs above average and so far is reliable. May be running slightly hotter, as I notice my cooling fan is typically on for longer duration. Operating system (Windows 7) so far is smooth and without any instability.
To install, I followed an N4110 guide on iFixit for motherboard replacement. I applied new thermal paste, and temperatures have been around 50C consistently.

INTEL i7-2620M (SRO3F) 2.7 GHz 2-CORE FF8062700838809

This old processor was purchased because it is the highest upgrade that is compatible with an old laptop. Just trying to get another year or 2 out an old HP 4530s pro-book that was given to me. With this CPU, 16gig of memory and a 500g SSD drive totaling about $115 the old machine will do what I need. Read full review
