Can't go wrong

First off, if you expect OE quality for a fraction of OE money, you will be disappointed (and you're probably disappointed a lot). However, this is a very good unit for an unbelievable price. My factory intercooler still worked fine but half the fins were bashed in and it was hurting the cooling systems ability to keep up. Spending 4 digits to replace something that was still technically good wasn't going to happen, so this fit the bill perfectly. But, there are going to be downsides, so here they are; it's heavier than the factory unit. Obviously, since the tanks are metal vs plastic. The fins didn't quite travel all the way to the top and bottom of the bars, which means technically speaking new vs new the OE unit would cool slightly better. The inlet and outlets are incredibly hokey compared to the OE unit, and this is really my only proper complaint; these things make 40+psi of boost pressure and I would be surprised if a tuned 6.4 couldn't blow the hoses right off this thing. The factory unit has flared ends and ribbed tubes behind them, with the hoses clamped tight you'd rip the hoses in half before they blew off the intercooler. But on this one, it's basically just a tube with a groove cut into it. Not even a proper flare to retain it. I haven't blown the hoses off it yet, but I haven't tried to put any proper strain on it yet either, and I am confident that it is possible. Heavy duty

Heavy duty cast aluminum end tanks and tig welded together. Not as nice as the mishimoto intercoolers but way better than expected. Haven't run it yet but it looks like it is well worth the $.

As GOOD as the ones priced at $1200

I have 2008 Ford F350 Super Duty that has the second sorriest engine Ford has ever made. The value of that truck is very low for that reason. This Intercooler works perfect, Fit perfect. If someone can show me how the Banks and other big names are better I would like to know why.
The price that I paid was $20 more than used intercoolers from wrecking yards with replacement only warrantees.
The factory intercoolers are plastic this one is welded aluminum. Not USA made but USA made has priced itself out of business in this field.Read full review
