Incredible album, no rock collection is complete without it

probably the very first recording of music that can be regarded as "heavy metal" this was recorded a couple of years prior to Black Sabbath's first album, and about the same time as Led Zeppelin's first. The unique guitar sound and the electrifying riff became the heartbeat of the time. The amazing drum solo has never been copied. This was an excellent choice to replace my old vinyl copy.Read full review...

A One Track CD!

There is only one track on this CD ... honest! The other's are just figments of your imagination!

Iron Butterfly are an amazingly crap band, with an astoundingly good song! The title track of this album is one of the greatest songs ever written!!!!! Unfortunately, 5 seconds into the second song you realise that the rest of the album is an utter waste of time and space, and is, in fact, so unbelivably bad that it causes pure physical pain!

So, yeh, get this album, then copy the title track onto a disk on of its own, and BURN the original! Then you will have the greatest album ever!!

IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA (the song), a 17 minute epic rock song with gruff vocals, creepy guitars, and kick-ass solos from all instruments! Add to this one of the catchiest riffs EVER and you know this is love!

For fans of: Deep Purple, Rainbow, Ten Years After etc.

If you like early, west coast, acid rock - buy this!

One of those rare occasions where I've bought an album on CD that I already own on vinyl.

Why - because it's effing brilliant! And I'd like the convenience of adding it to my MP3 thingy.
>To a certain extent, I agree with the reviewer who said there's only one good track on this, which is what I bought it for originally back in the seventies, but I don't agree the rest are crap. They just don't hit the same vibe!Read full review...

Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

Brilliant group and a brilliant album. The sevice was brilliant, it's so nice to be able to buy items that are not always availble in the shops and not have to leave the comfort of you own home.
