8 months old and………………..not working well

Hello. The last 2 nights in a row the jbl sound bar has been acting up. First the subwoofer starting making a very loud pounding noise. Had to shut it off and restart.
The second night, the sound bar itself gave off a very high pitch whistle like sound that was ear piercing.
This unit is only 8 months old.

Great product - but - problem with HDMI ARC port

this refurbished product is of high standard and excellent value for the price.
I was enjoying using it on the first day.
However, the HDMI ARC port stopped producing sound after that.
There were volume controls for the external speakers showing on the TV - but there was no sound coming out of the speakers or sub.

When I switched to the optical cable, the sound was distorted from the speakers and subwoofer.
So while I like the product the HDMI ARC port issue is one to be mindful of for the vendor/ buyer.Read full review

Room shaking!

I didn't expect a whole lot being I've went through several types of soundbars, but these gave me aa pleasant surprise.
These bad boys are definitely worth picking up cause you're getting a lot for the price. They vibrate the whole room watching action movies with clear quality sound. And i love the fact of taking the wireless ends off of the soundbar and placing them for true quality surround sound. Great price for amazing sound

This sound bar is well worth the money. Under 500 bucks for this sound bar is a great deal. It performs very well from movies to music.

I stream a lot of music through YouTube while working around the house so I was looking for a good sound bar and subwoofer set up, and after reading previous reviews on how much bass the subwoofer puts out I figured I would give this system a try.

I have the soundbar hooked up to my LG tv with an optical cable.

Now that I’ve been able to use it and hear it for myself, the subwoofer really will shake the walls. I’m extremely impressed. With the subwoofer on maximum (bass30) as it appears on the bar, when you turn the master volume to 75% the bass can be heard from outside of the house.

If having bass while listening to music is what you are looking for this is it.

This system has a lot of power. It is more than enough to satisfy. The sound quality is very good as to be expected from JBL. This sound bar will give son-Os a run for their money.

Action movies are great, you can really hear and feel the explosions. The detachable left and right speakers really help with the full surround sound feel. The detachable speakers last a while on a full charge.

Overall I am really happy with this sound system. I am not paid to leave reviews. I wanted to leave one on this system for anyone who was unsure of what brand to go with like myself. This system will not let you down, I feel like I got my money’s worth. I would buy one again.

rocks the 5.1

This is a really ingenious system that is excellent for 5.1 surround. the detachable speakers are great. It’s not my old Denon/Kipsch system but its pretty good for a soundbar system. Not so great for music due to lack of separation but I’m picky. Rocks a good movie fur sure. only disappointment: you have to turn on the bluetooth surround speakers every tine you power up. Oh well. Real 5.1 with WIRELESS surround speakers

I just about drove myself crazy researching and comparing. I think I made the right choice! I love the way this system sounds and particularly no wires....
This was the only system that you can take your surround speakers and literally put them anywhere you like, wherever you get the best sound with no wire constraints. Unfortunately it looks like JBL has figured out they can sell additional speakers for surround and they are calling their bigger 3.1 bar a 5.1 so if you actually want 5.1 you have to get wired surround speakers or figure out how to add them Bluetooth. The shame is they really have a good system here!
And the best one I could find under $500! Now that I can listen to it I'm willing to testify!Read full review
