We bought this system to make it a wireless surround sound system without having to have the speakers connect to a wireless transmitter. All we did was detach the speakers and powered them with micro USB chargers. The sound is great and the surround works really well. I went through 3 sound bars before I found the JBL. I am done tripping over wires and the sound quality is enormous. The surround sound is great and you can clearly hear the mids, bass and highs of the full sound spectrum. I have my system installed in my great room with 20 foot ceilings and it still makes a huge impact. Movies are now theater quality pared with my new QLED 86" LG TV. BIG sound!

8 months old and………………..not working well

Hello. The last 2 nights in a row the jbl sound bar has been acting up. First the subwoofer starting making a very loud pounding noise. Had to shut it off and restart.
The second night, the sound bar itself gave off a very high pitch whistle like sound that was ear piercing.
This unit is only 8 months old.
