A nice little unit, but not quite man enough to cool down anything bigger than an 8ft square room. Probably better for the camper van market.

Pros.

Small and portable. USB function is o.k. Light feature.

Cons. Cant move it with water in or will spill out.
Not much good unless you are directly in front of the fan.
Only good for one person.
Water will not last 8 hours even on low and almost frozen water from fridge used.
Cost is expensive for the gadget. Should have bought an oscillating fan for half the price.
Not very attractive from the front, could have made it all white.

Not as good as it could be.

I was really looking forward to using this during the recent hot weather. I didn’t realise that you have to put it right in front of your face to get the best results. It’s quite noisy, so not ideal for use in the bedroom. It also leaks like a sieve. Would not recommend it.Read full review

Well worth the money

Keeps your personal space very cool and is efficient for up to 5ft away on highest speed. Three speeds mean you can have it on 1 for nighttime use, this is the quietest setting or 3 when you need extra cooling. Very easy to use, but do position it on a flat surface and do not to move it when operating as the water in the tank feeds into a tray at the base where water is then 'wicked' up the filter, and this water at the base can spill if moved. Had no issues with this JML product and is good value for the price and works well. JML are the bonafide manufacturers of this product, watch out for cheap copies.Read full review

For the price I paid (around £12) I would buy another

It works as well as I expected, it is not able to keep even my tiny room cool but I did not expect it to. It sits on my desk and in order to feel the benefit it needs to be within a couple of feet from my face , the colour thing is just a gimmick although it does work.
I had hoped for a bit more power from the motor, the water, when full lasts a good while and a small plastic water bottle is sufficient. It is quite easy to refill.Read full review

Lightweight, small & cool

Nice small box that fits anywhere in a small space. the mood lighting is excellent if you want to use it.
But in our overheated house, we found it didn't really live up to our expectations. On fan speed 1 it struggled to get through the night, on one fill of it's water tank. Increasing the speed made it run out quicker ! There's nothing more annoying than being woken up by a flashing light tell you to fill up the water tank, if you want to remain cool !

Waste of money

It is definitely not for use in hot weather as it was advertised,
It managed to throw bold air as long as there is ice cold water in the tank and person is sitting very close, as the fan is only runs through the USB cable so its not very powerful.

There is no swing function in the cooler, which means the air will only go in up or down manually

If by any chance you need to move it, water spills everywhere which is really disappointing.

This would be more useful to be used on a table when your very close.

Do not expect at all to make even a box room cooler using this item.Read full review

Very effective for such a small cooler

For such a small cooler it really kept my bedroom cool. I will recommend to my friends and families. Brilliant.

Works ok when it works!

A previous purchase worked well until the electrics all failed after about a year. Second purchase had all the electrics working except the fan! Returned and refunded without quibble but a nuisance. When these Arctic Air coolers work, they work quite well for cooling in the immediate area. Whether they are more useful than a good fan, I doubt. Generally evaporative coolers only work well below 60% humidity in the ambient air. They are really designed for hot dry climates.Read full review
