Bought this as a parts spare, but the JVC BR-DV3000 is a solid unit if proper maintenance is routinely carried out. In particular, keep the idler mechanism clean and free from contaminates or unit will begin to eat tapes and suffer from rewind/fast forward issues.Read full review

Came without power cord, which is really odd, so I have not been able to try it yet.
