Max Lucado's Twist on the Birth of Jesus Story for Kids

Author Max Lucado is far from a new name to the Christian book genre. In fact, his prior books are well beloved. So it's not surprising that Lucado created this terrific children's book.

I'm reviewing it now because it is a Christmas-themed book that will make a nice gift for children.

Lucado's story is about a boy youth who's working as a carpenter's apprentice. The main plot of the story is about how the youth is so into carpentry that he's trying to complete a project so he can enter it into a contest. Having worked long & hard, the youth falls asleep inside the carpenter's workshop. But, not for long. A bright light wakes him up. He decides to track down where the light's coming from. That's how he winds up at the stable where Mary, Joseph & the newborn baby Jesus are staying.
