awesome product for illuminated manuscripts!

I've been using this for a few years now; its great for sealing artwork that might otherwise not be waterproof or unstable. I use it mostly on illuminated scripts; it keep the paint and gold leaf from flaking off as well. you do loose some of the luster of the gold, but it is actually the nearest thing (as far as commercial products go) to the beeswax base sealant used on most medieval manuscripts. you have to let it dry for at least a day, maybe longer, before allowing the pages to touch, but after that it's perfect. far superior to any spray sealant (unless you're sealing charcoal drawings). a little bit goes a long ways, as wellRead full review...

Multiple uses for artist who experiment with producing new mediums.

I, due to holiday chaos will not be able to see if I am successful with new mixes but will try to get back to the results.-J.

Great medium!

I use it to finish paintings. Buffing after it's dry it gives it a nice satin sheen.

Great wax

I received the jar intact and fresh. I have been experimenting with painting, it was a reasonable price for a trial.
