Janome 2032 Sewing Machine in - 14 Stitch Selections

Needed sewing machine to do repairs, nothing fancy

Having split from my wife, who was as good a sewer as my mum had been and she has a machine that is a dream to use. I needed to get something that would do the repairs to pockets, zips & seams that need doing and repairing the items was going to cost a lot less even with having to buy a sewing machine, than replacing them!
Having looked around online for sewing machines both new and used that one that fitted best with my needs and skills was this one. Simple to use, good responsive foot control going from very slow the quite a quick pace (for a beginner) Mechanically it is well made and quite straightforward if you understand that side of things.
I have given it 5 stars as for the price I feel it is excellent value to someone like me, it comes with a 2 year warrantee for parts provided it's not down to being an idiot and breaking something. However, it is quite noisy and nothing like as smooth running as the very expensive one my Mum had and now is with my former wife, that is a mechanical piece of art and would be a complete waste for someone like me, whereas my Mum was into all type s of machine sew ing from quilting to freehand appliqué and my ex is an excellent sewer making all types og things from garments to soft furnishings. So if you are into, thinking of or interested in the things mentioned in the latter part of the review I would as that although I says you can do some of these things with theis machine I would go for a more upmarket one but if you are going to use it like me I don't think you can go too wrong with this model and price.Read full review

This machine is excellent. I have an old one and I used a Janome one when I went on a craft day and really liked it so decided to treat myself. I am so pleased with it. The machine actually "purrs!" Highly recommended.Read full review

Great beginners machine

I love this machime. As a novice to sewing I found it very quick easy to set up. Good diagrams and instructions too.
It has all the functions for the type of sewing I want to do plus others that I can use if I want to progress onto more advanced work. It aslo has a very good quality contstruction for the price. Very, very good value.Read full review
