I've never used silver solder before, but i tried it out on a cast iron metal item, just to see if it would fill a small chip in the metal.

Worked OK on Stainless Steel

Bought this to silver solder some stainless steel, then read that you had to have special flux, but I gave it a try anyway and it has worked better than I thought.

A sad experience and a complaint ignored.

The silver soler was poor and difficult to get to flow. The rod was, I believe, half a rod - it was only 20cm long. I finished the job with some easyflo that I had, and it was a joy to use. I emailed a complaint and have had no reply. Supplier just greedy. Peter FinesRead full review...
