Nice Journey...

I knew this wasn't going to be the same as the Gorillaz album being based on a traditional 16th centruy Chinese story, but I was curious to see Albarn's take on it. Overall, it was enjoyable. Some tracks I didn't like and some (first track-Monkey's World) were awesome! The artwork for the cd booklet is great! They have both the chinese and english translations of the words for each song which is a nice added tough. I suggest if you have an open ear and like all kinds of music, especially oriental with a touch of tech, give this cd a try.Read full review...

Journey to the west...Gorillaz

My Humble Opinion.

If you enjoy traditional Chinese folk music, Your going to enjoy this,
Perhaps your like me and find this type of music boring and flat...
whichever it might be this album is yet another failure for The Gorillaz..
Don't get me wrong I like the gorillaz but this is a little bit retro, 200yrs or so,.. let it go guyz...This will never make it in the west...Read full review...
