Five great songs
If you're a casual Joy Division fan - if there are any "casual" Joy Division fans apart from myself - this contains all the Joy Division you need, which for me is five great songs: Atmosphere, She's Lost Control, Transmission, These Days and Love Will Tear Us Apart. The whole "He died for us" death cult around Ian Curtis, who was a talented but deeply disturbed young man with some very unhealthy interests, makes it impossible for me to really love this band. Still, five great songs is five more than all but a very few pop acts can manage, so it's an essential album for me.Read full review...

Superb Compilation & Introduction to Joy Division
Brilliant Compilation! I hadn't listened to "Joy" for a long time then watched the biography of "Curtis" on the box which prompted the purchase. Great Time line Album which shows the developement of the band, obviously the darker side prevails somewhat hauntingly but the energy and scratchiness of the bands early stuff is there & totally captivating. The perfect companion to "Closer" and "Unknown Pleasures".Read full review...
