Suck it up!

I was a bit apprehensive as I wanted a vacuum for my apartment. I had used another well known brands upright and it was to put it mildly utterly useless and simply spread dust rather than clean it. r>I was on a budget so needed something less than €100. Not easy to find a good quality product in that price range. I have used other K'Archer products and found them good quality and up for the task. I did my research on this unit and I have to say the reviews were spot on. It is light weight, easy to use and you can tidy it away nicely due to the design. The suction is excellent. I have only one criticism and that is due to the light weight of the unit it is top heavy as this is where the motor is situated. So it tends to topple over quite a lot. Other than that, perfect for my needs. I ordered a few extra accessories on Ebay which work very well. It is very easy to find affordable bags, nozzles and fittings for it on Ebay.Read full review

Not for the UK

When bought from this seller, you will get a machine not compatible for use in UK. It will have an EU plug and parts that are advertised as coming with the unit will not be in the box. The item is drop shipped from Amazon France even though the seller claims the item in in the UK.

Its also 1000W not 1200w so also be aware of this. Because this is am EU machine and you will have to modify it for use in UK there is a doubt that any warranty will be honoured.

Falls over too much when used

I like it but whenever I move across a floor and pull it along on its wheels, the thing just falls over! No matter how gently I pull on it, it tips on its side and then the suctioning power goes until I switch it off and on again. I spent most of my time righting it, rather than vacuuming.

The construction is too light. It is made cheaply, and so, doesn't stay upright when moved, unless you drag it by the handle.

So, it's good for the price. It does what its supposed to do, but it is cheaply made and has a design flaw.Read full review

Lightweight and very easy to use.

This is the second one l have had over the years l have moved to Spain and left my old one in the UK . I always found it very reliable ease to use indoors or out doors when cleaning our cars would recommend this for spills of water ect and dry floors . And two years warranty . Amazing, versatile, long lived, hardy (mine was dropped many times)just great machines.

My last Karcher the A2554 I bought in France in 2003 as I was renovating my home there, this wonderful machine did everything from clearing up water to hoovering up dead mice from the loft, I was very sad when 2 weeks ago it went bang as up till then it had been used on a daily basis. I immediately thought right I want another one. I have read other peoples comment and thought the lady who bought one with the 2 pin plug on was rather over sensitive, mine when I brought it back to the UK in 2010 was the same so I just replaced the 2 pin with a 3 pin UK style plug simple. Very good suction and good size for storage. Easy to use however the downside is as you pull it it falls then stops functioning and needs switching off until it comes on its wheels again.
