The cheeper quicker hassle free alternative

This was something recommended to me by a friend. and now my car love's me again. it's fantastic easy to use small enough to keep in your car as an emergency tool.
if you're car is getting hot under the collar, try k-seal before going to a garage and it may save you hundreds in labour and parts and a lot of time too. all instructions for use are easily understandable, (warnings too) I wish I'd invented it.Read full review...

K seal

Used in my ford mondeo mk4 diesel. and ended up choking up my radiator and heater matrix giving me bad back pressure and causing low or no flow through coolant system forcing coolant out expansion bottle also had no heating as heater matrix got choked up with the k.seal. ended up having to flush out full coolant system and radiator and matrix as was loosing coolant due to blockage and forcing coolant out of expansion bottle .maybe work for other cars but wouldnt recomend for mk4 mondeo 1.8tdci as caused a small coolant leak to turn into major problems before i added to coolant system could run car for 150 to 250 miles before adding coolant and after adding k.seal car overheated on a 2 mile run .Read full review...

No fix because..

Perhaps its a nice product but in my occasion did nothing because i had the type of head gasket problem that exhaust gases mix with coolant so because of the pressure no k-seal mixed with coolant can reach the head gasket leakRead full review...

Tried them all

Yes I've tried them all over the cars I've owned, I won't mention any brands, but this is the only one that jot only works, permanently works! Or at least plenty long enough to save up the cash to fix the job properly. Don't waste your time with others, this is the best!Read full review...

Excellent if used correctly!

If used correctly this works great this saved me over £1000 used on a super bike, will only seal small leaks so don't moan if it don't seal a massive hole , mix with coolant 1st and put directly in to radiator and DONT use too much, less is best I used just under half a bottle on a massive 1448cc superbike, those that moan about it clogging up parts used too much 👍Read full review...

Limping along

When my head gasket blew, the only sign was water loss. It was going out the exhaust. No water in my oil so my mechanic suggested this - the bogger. So eventually i did and I limped along like that for two year before paying for head gasket replacement. I wish i had gone for the proper repair. I flushed it out as best i can but i think it’s slowed down the heater matrix. Read full review...

K-Seal

So far, so good! Installed this in an X-reg Skoda Fabia which has 'brewed up' from time to time previously.

On this occasion, the back end of the thermostat housing blew right off! I think these motors have an inherent problem where periodically a jet of hot gas from a cylinder enters the water jacket causing sudden over-heating. Fitted a new thermostat and housing and installed K-Seal. Early indications look very favourable. I did not appreciate the significance of earlier back pressure in the cooling system. Since installing K-Seal, the back pressure appears to have gone completely and everything looks 'text book' so far!

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone experiencing problems of the like kind. The alternative of skimming the head, new head gasket etc at around £500 is oceans more expensive and probably unjustifiable on economic grounds with an older car.

Best regards,

JTB

Mechanic approved

I had a coolant loss on my mk5 golf with parts being £30 to replace and in an awkward spot. I gave this a go by filling the coolant up from empty to a quarter with water, adding the k seal and then some coolant. Within 10 minutes of the car being turned over from cold start to optimum temperature at 90 degrees the coolant dripping onto the floor from the oil cooler had ceased.

Have been given the option to drain the coolant out with this k seal mixture due to it being thick like porridge or to keep it in.

Highly recommend

Hard to believe!

This product is hard to believe one! I personally am a very sceptical person, bit this one gladly proven me wrong! I had a leak of coolant either from the head gasket or the thermostat housing on ASTRA MK6 1.4. I had a quote of £247 to investigate and repair the leak, but this has nothing to loose, so I gave a try...and miracle... already a week the area is completely dry and the coolant level hasn't moved. Amazing! Will recommend it 100%! Read full review...

Bit expensive

There are cheaper (mostly half the price) of many similar ones here in eBay and elsewhere.

Currently topping up my cooler almost every week or two and appears to be small leak as my garage cannot locate it.

Last one i used (different brand, such as Holts/Radweld), which lasted approximately 2 months without top-up).

Lets see how long this holds up as compared to others as this packaging says 'Permanent'.
