Mellow, yet tough

Central Florida is hard on solid-wood ukuleles; the humidity can destroy an instrument. Laminates fair better, but most sound dull. This Kala exotic mahogany laminate tenor is a wonderful compromise; bright, yet mellow, and I can play it outdoors here, even during the rainy season. And restringing with Aquila Red Low G really amps up the mellow quotient!Read full review
