Good Try by KATO but it's not as good as "Ease Pease Lighting " . The KATO N scale lighting is better than its predecessor as it distributes the light more evenly in the car, but the "Ease Pease Lighting" creates a better effect. While the KATO lighting does not distribute the light evenly as its competitor does. When you reduce power on the track the KATO lighting darkens. The "Ease Pease Lighting" does not. The KATO lighting is more flexible as to length of the light distribution bar. This is important if you have shorter area to install the lighting such as the KATO observation car with the lighted Drum Head and rear red warning lights. The "Ease Pease lighting" fits inside the standard KATO passenger nicely. There is a problem with the KATO lighting during installation as the window inserts easily are disturbed and must be reinserted.
