Excellent Product

Bought this after reading up on similar products. Works with all (3) of my current lenses. While there is a small amount of image degradation, I am very happy with the results. I would recommend it if you want to extend your lenses and are willing to give up a very slight decrease in image quality.Read full review

Great product - wrong lens

This lens is clearly good quality. Very little aberrations around the edges BUT I purchased hoping to get more 1:1 working distance with my Nikon micro ATS 60mm F2.8. This happens to be the only lens where the AF will not work properly. So I am not happy on this basis. I wish it worked but it did not. The AF jumps all over the place and since I am an underwater photographer, I cannot simply go MF as my MF ring will no longer reach. Oh well....good for some other folks I guess but take note that the Nikon 60mm F2.8 is a non-starter Read full review

Most Compatible, Best Value Pro Teleconverter

Works with any brand; mechanical AF, electronic or manual.
Recessed element allows for mounting of lenses which would damage/be damaged by other teleconverters. This allows you to get terrible results with all sorts of consumer lenses, but it also allows the creation of the surprisingly effective full-frame 77-280mm f/5.6-8 AF-S VR using the DX 55-200mm AF-S VR II.

Really sharp TC

I have an old gen 300 2.8 af and Nikon doesn’t have any tc for it.
Kenko 1.4 auto focuses very well and pictures are really sharp.

Very good for the price.

I found this item used for a good price. While not a genuine Nikon, it works better than a Nikon for me, because a Nikon teleconverter will not allow autofocus with the older "screw drive" lenses, and the Kenko teleconverter does. Also, the glass in a Nikon teleconverter gets in the way of being attached to certain (most) Nikon lenses, and this has attached to each of mine. It may be that a Nikon would be sharper or more durable, but this hasn't broken for me, and I haven't used it enough nor been expert enough to notice that this isn't sharp.Read full review

Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 1.4 DGX

I was a little concerned when it first arrived and I could hear what seemed to be something rattling around inside the device. After some research online, I subsequently learned that it is "normal" for the teleconverter to do this. I was much relieved. As for optics, it works beautifully. Very sharp with only a one-stop loss.Read full review

Good Teleconverter at a modest price

The pros of this TC are that it works with most Nikon lens and that it provides reasonable quality at a decent price.
