Let the Buyer Beware!

The Keurig K-Classic K50 appears much like the one we had to replace after 7 years. However, it is almost entirely plastic, instead fo metal; no longer has a clock accessory; and has buttons for adjusting the coffee instead of a digital readout. In other words, the popularity of Keurig single serve coffeemakers has led to diminished quality and likely durability. The customer reviews were not exactly inspiring, though we decided to get one on a wing and a prayer. If our experience matches many of the disgruntled purchasers of this generation's Keurig coffeemakers, it is likely we will be similarly dissatisfied buyers prepared far too soon to search for other brands to satisfy our coffee addiction. Not just an open box

It arrived in packaging soaking wet as though it were packed with a full tank. It was missing parts, the filter, and the bottom needle port. I had a filter but had to purchase the bottom needle cup. It still doesn't work right. Can't get a full cup of coffee and after it brews it discharges a quantity of clear hot water. Better then the old

Would have given it 5 stars except that it doesn't have the STRONG BREW button like the current model Series K50. I do like I better then our old Keurig which was top of the line with LED screen and clock. Don't need those features to brew coffee.Read full review

Great coffee machine

Bought a new K-50 to replace an old model, the new one has 3 cup sizes as to only 2 on the older model & it gives you a full cup of coffee. I got the Red one & it really looks nice on the counter.

Brews Quickly and is Easy to Use BUT Bruises easily

It didn't take long to figure out how to operate this coffee maker. Not long after use I noticed scratch marks in plastic body and water reservoir. Nothing major but be very attentive as to not handle this product too carelessly.

Side Note: K-Cup single cup coffee refills are sold separately and are much better for the environment than pods that are ending up at the landfills.Read full review
